  • Take another slow breath in through your nose, and exhale gently through your mouth.

Feel the movement of the inhale.


And the soft release of the exhale.


If thoughts appear, simply notice them and allow them to pass without following them.


Now bring your awareness to the center of your chest, the area of the heart.


Imagine breathing softly into this space.

You may quietly ask yourself:


  • What do I need right now?


  • There is no need to search for an answer. Just listen and allow whatever arises to be present.


  • Stay here for a few moments, breathing slowly and allowing yourself to simply be.


  • When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the room around you.


  • Move your fingers and toes gently.


  • And softly open your eyes.


Making Self-Connection a Daily Practice


Self-connection does not require long meditation sessions or complicated techniques. Even a few minutes of quiet awareness can help bring you back to yourself.


You can practice this meditation:


  • in the morning before starting your day


  • during moments of stress or overwhelm


  • in the evening to reconnect with your body


  • whenever you feel the need to pause and listen inward
